Lustrous blue-black azurite crystals (to 4 mm) with radiating sprays of non-pseudomorphous malachite fibres (exhibits 1 and 2) on a matrix of Cu/Pb arsenates (undetermined). Minute crystals of pristine azurite (< 0.2 mm) are sparsely distributed on the malachite sprays (Exhibit 3).

The specimen is from the collection purchased by Charles Palache during his visit to Tsumeb in April 1922, which dates it to the upper part of the first oxidation zone (i.e. 8 Level or above).
