Description

Loosely formed botryoids of malachite tufts forming a thick, undulating carpet over massive cuprite. A cavity on the reverse side of the specimen hosts a water-clear cerussite crystal and minor calcite.

This specimen was nimber 918 in the collection of Clement Victor Latz, which was donated to the Australian Bureau of Mineral Resources (now Geoscience Australia) in 1976. There is no record of earlier provenance or of location in the mine.
