Description
A fan of sharp, terminated blade-shaped pseudomorphs of malachite after azurite. The replacement of the oriinal azurite crystals appears to be complete, with no sign of residual azurite.
It was number 1785 in the collection of Hans von Karabacek, much of which was acquired by MGMH in 1935. Its vintage dates it unequivocally to the first oxidation zone.
