Description
Aggregates of malachite framboids - possibly pseudomorphous after cuprite (?) - partly obscuring a thin layer of goethite over a white quartz-rich matrix.
The specimen was number 1142 in the collection of Clement Victor Latz which was donated to the Australian Bureau of Mineral Resources (now Geoscience Australia) in 1976. There is no record of earlier provenancce or of location in the mine.
