Description

Stacks of colourless-white cerussite crystals, elongated and twinned, with the twin planes parallel to the direction of elongation - an unusual habit for Tsumeb cerussite. Fragments of partly oxidised sulphide matrix adhere to various parts of the specimen and, associate with these, are gemmy yellow prismatic crystals of mimetite (to circa 7 mm).

The specimen was formerly in the collection of Marc Weill but its earlier provenance is not recorded.
