Description

Smoky, but transparent crystals of twinned cerussite, shaped like arrowheads. The crystals are colour zoned, with varying degrees of smokiness which defines some growth phantoms. A small amount of highly oxidised sulphide matrix material adheres.

The specimen was donated to the Australian Bureau of Mineral Resources (now Geoscience Australia) by C. M. Chidley in 1975. There is no record of earlier provenance or location in the mine.
