Description
Colourless-white rhombohedral calcite crystals (to 30 mm) with inclusions of lime-green conichalcite-duftite. The arsenate microcrystals nucleated selectively on the edges and corners of an earlier phase of crystal development to form three-point "Mercedes stars". When calcite growth resumed, it did so with the same c-axis orientation but with the lattice rotated by 60 degrees.
The specimen is from a relatively small occurrence for which the location in the mine is undetermined.
