Description
A plate of intergrown sharp, milky-white calcite rhombs (to circa 8 mm), partly encrusted with microcrystalline apple-green conichalcite-duftite, and small crystals of emerald-green dioptase (to 1.5 mm). The conichalcite-duftite and the dioptase have encrusted selected faces of the calcite apparently on a directional basis. Please note that the composition of the conichalcite-duftite has not been determined.
The location in the mine from which the specimen was recovered is not recorded, but this is a typical second oxidation zone paragenesis.
