calcite (w. conichalcite-duftite)

A plate of "nail-head" calcite crystals (to circa 9 mm) with extensive surface recrystallisation (or overgrowth) by parallel growths of tiny (circa 1 mm), pale buff-coloured lenticular calcites resulting in an overall chatoyant lustre. A liberal dusting of minute apple-green conichalcite-duftite (?) crystals decorates the terminating faces of the calcite. Please note that the arsenate has not been analysed.
