Description

A matrix of sulphides with quartz hosts a large shallow vug lined with very pale green saccharoidal smithsonite crystals and composite wine-red cuprite crystals (to 10 mm).

The specimen was number 344 in the collection of Clement Victor Latz, which was donated to the Australian Bureau of Mineral Resources (now Geoscience Australia) in 1976.There is no record of earlier provenance or location in the mine.
