Description
Pseudo-hexagonal drillings of snow-white aragonite (to 9 mm) on a crust of tan coloured calcite rhombs. The aragonite has not been analysed but the habit is consistent with the lead-bearing variety known as tarnowitzite.
The specimen was number 157 in the collection of Clement Victor Latz, which was donated to the Australian Bureau of Mineral Resources (now Geoscience Australia) in 1976. There is no record of earlier provenance or location in the mine.
