Specimen TSNB419

Two elongated, slightly tapering, closely sub-parallel bundles of rod-like mimetite crystallites, very pale yellow in colour, translucent, and conjoined at an apparently random angle.

This is one of several similar specimens of this unusual habit of mimetite collected by Tsumeb Corporation mineralogist John Innes from the North East Stope on 35 Level in early 1981 (Keller and Bartelke 1982).

MGMH acquired the specimen from Julius and Miriam Zweibel (Mineral Kingdom) in early 1996.
