Description

Terminated pseudo-hexagonal trillings (to 15 mm) of snow-white aragonite (v. tarnowitzite) on a slender shard of grey carbonate matrix of massive aragonite.

The specimen was number 1722 in the collection of Dr Mary L. Johnson and is also accompanied by two of her labels (exhibits 2 and 3), and an older Prosper J. Williams dealer label (exhibit 4) which dates the specimen to the 1960s or 1970s. There is no record of location in the mine.
