Description
A parallel intergrowth of two sharp prismatic crystals of mimetite, of which the longer crystal is terminated with prominent pyramid faces. The colour ranges from a dark reddish brown at the base of the specimen (as photographed), through an intense yellow to almost colourless at the termination. This specimen has not been analysed but, by analogy with similar material, the dark colour at the base of the crystals may be due to the presence of hematite (?) inclusions.
