Willemite

Gemmy, pale blue-green crystals of willemite (to 5 mm) on a matrix that also consists largely of finely crystallised willemite, reddish-brown in colour, but also with zones of colourless-grey.

The specimen is from the Reverend A. E. Gardner Collection which was purchased by the Australian Bureau of Mineral Resources (now Geoscience Australia) in 1974. There is no information on earlier provenance or location in the mine.
