Description

A loose jumble of butterscotch-coloured wulfenite crystals (to 6 mm), tabular in habit and consisting of prominent, shallow, striated pyramid faces and relatively small pinacoids with a somewhat etched appearance. Localised saccharoidal crusts of bright rose-pink dolomite are developed between some of the wulfenite crystals.

The specimen is from the collection of Sharon and Eugene Cisneros.  The location in the mine is not recorded but the paragenesis and the habit and colour of both minerals is strongly indicative of the second oxidation zone.
