Wulfenite

calcite; dolomite; goethite; hematite; mimetite; quartz

Thick tabular crystals of lustrous, sherry-brown wulfenite (to 7 mm on edge) on a crust of goethite with red-brown hematite over a shard of crystallised dolomite on quartz. Microcrystals of colourless mimetite (needles to 0.5 mm) and colourless rhombohedral calcite (to 0.3 mm) are also present on the goethite/hematite.

The specimen was acquired from Crystal Gems but with no record of earlier provenance or location in the mine.
