Description

A flat shard of matrix, encrusted with microbotryoidal pistachio-green conichalcite-duftite on which tabular brown wulfenites (to 15 mm) have crystallised, succeeded by sub-spherical sprays of fibrous malachite (to 9 mm) and sharp colourless rhombs of calcite (to 8 mm).

The specimen is from the collection of Clement Victor Latz, which was donated to the Australian Bureau of Mineral Resources (now Geoscience Australia) in 1976. There is no record of earlier provenance or of location in the mine.
