Description

A loose cluster of thin, tabular, pseudo-hexagonal anglesite crystals (to 25 mm). The crystal faces have been overgrown by (or altered to) a thin veneer of greyish-cream coloured cerussite. Some broken blades on the reverse side of the specimen show the glassy nature of the anglesite beneath the cerussite coating. Relict sulphide material, principally galena, is present on many parts of the specimen.

The specimen was purchased from Klaus Rühland in Windhoek, Namibia, in 1984.
