Description

Colourless, prismatic crystals of anglesite (to circa 10 mm) free standing, on a massive sulphide matrix. The anglesite is, for the most part water clear but close to the base, and again at the terminations, the crystals are heavily included, presumably with relict sulphide (Exhibit 2).

The specimen was in the collection of Bill Pinch whose label (Exhibit 3) indicates that the anglesite has been verified by XRD and that the specimen originated from 37 Level, at the bottom of the second oxidation zone.
