Description

Bright, silver-grey crystals of chalcocite (to 10 mm), striated and twinned, free-standing in a shallow vug in a sulphide matrix (exhibits 1 and 2). Minor quartz and pyrite are associated.

The specimen was acquired from Chris Amo in 2016; it was formerly in the collection of George Elling and belonged originally to Nauke Oeschlin (Namibia).
