Description

A radiating, bilobate spray of colourless-white alamosite crystals (to 20 mm), peppered with spherules (to 1 mm) of grey-black melanotekite (Exhibit 2). A little oxidised sulphide ore is present on the reverse with stacked, platy crystals of colourless-white plumbotsumite (to 2 mm; Exhibit 3).

Mark Feinglos acquired this specimen from David New in 1996. It is accompanied by an older A.L. McGuinness label with an acquisition date of July 1974. While there is no record of location in the mine the paragenesis is definitive for the second oxidation zone.
