Description
Two sprays of bladed and terminated crystals of colourless-white alamosite (to 18 mm) on a massive sulphide (galena) matrix. The alamosite is patchily peppered with sub-mm spheroidal olive-green melanotekite.
The specimen was purchased from Chris Amo in 2016. It was formerly in the collection of James and Dawn Minette, and passed to Amo via dealers Dave Bunk and Dan Weinrich. The location in the mine is not recorded but the paragenesis is definitive for the second oxidation zone.
