Description

A druse of terminated, milky-white quartz crystals (to 10 mm) over a matrix of silicified dolostone with disseminated sulphide mineralisation. The quartz druse is studded with crystals (to 20 mm) of a tennantite subgroup mineral, both as individuals and as small aggregates. The tennantite faces are thinly encrusted with undetermined blue-green copper secondaries.

The tennantite is almost certainly tennantite-(Zn).

The specimen was purchased from Klaus Rühland in Windhoek, Namibia, in 1984.
