General Notes
The occurrence of chlorargyrite at Tsumeb was reported by Joy Désor, identified by EDS analysis, in 2020. (Joy Désor - New minerals for the Tsumeb mine, Namibia (mindat.org); accessed October 2022).
Chlorargyrite occurs as waxy brown coatings on native silver, or as brown aggregates in Cd-poor sphalerite in a sulphide matrix that also contains chalcocite, enargite and germanite. Ktenasite and plumbogummite (the latter containing Ga and Ge) are associated.
