Description

A matrix consisting largely of silicified dolostone and orange-brown gossan hosts a wide, shallow vug encrusted with sugary pale pink dolomite (individual crystals to circa 0.5 mm). A few irregular inclusions (to 12 mm) of earthy pale green arsentsumebite (?) are present in the dolomite (Exhibit 2), and there is a little malachite close to the junction between the dolomite and the gossanous portion of the matrix (Exhibit 3).

Unfortunately, there is no provenance on record for this specimen and its location in the mine is undetermined.
