Description

Hollow epimorphs (to 8 mm) of moss-green duftite, probably after mimetite (?). Colourless twinned crystals of cerussite (to 4 mm) have grown between the epimorphs, and both the duftite surfaces and the cerussite are sparsely frosted with tiny rhombs of calcite.

WDS analysis confirmed that the duftite is Ca-rich (Exhibits 2 and 3).

The specimen was purchased from Cyril Kovac in 2005 and was formerly in the collection of Brian Shelton (Melbourne, Australia).
