A matrix of brecciated and altered dolostone, encrusted with goethite, followed by olive-green duftite (as aggregates of sub-mm framboids) and radial sprays of pale yellow acicular mimetite crystals (to circa 2.5 mm; Exhibit 2). WDS analysis of the duftite shows it to be Ca-rich (exhibits 3 and 4).

The specimen was purchased from English dealer Nick Carruth in 1997, but with no earlier provenance.
