Description

Yellow-orange crystals of arsenbrackebuschite (to 0.3 mm) associated with zoned white calcite crystals and metallic, dark grey chalcocite.

This second oxidation zone specimen originated from Dr Hans Josef Lauenstein, chief mineralogist for the Tsumeb Corporation Ltd in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It was subsequently in the collections of Manfred Forg (Namibia) and Warren Taylor (United Kingdom). Tsumeb shares type locality status for arsenbrackebuschite with GrĂ¼be Clara (see Abraham et al. 1978).
