Description

A twinned aggregate (7 mm) of flat, platy, greenish-beige söhngeite crystals associated with sugary off-white calcite in a shallow vug in massive sulphide. The characteristic right-angle twinning is just discernible (Exhibit 2). The size of the crystals and the colour are unusual.

The location in the mine is not recorded but söhngeite has been found only in the second oxidation zone.
