Description

A vug in massive sulphide ore, lined with drusy colourless quartz and emerald-green zincolivenite crystals is bridged by a 13 mm colourless-white, prismatic crystal of schultenite (Exhibit 2) and other smaller crystals. Keyite (not discernible in these images) is absent from the main vug but occurs elsewhere as sparse, adamantine microcrystals (< 0.1 mm) resting directly on the tennantite-rich sulphide ore.

Mark Feinglos purchased this specimen from Rob Lavinsky in 2009; it belonged formerly to Marshall Sussman. The location in the mine is not recorded but the paragenesis is definitive for the second oxidation zone.
