caledonite (w. cerussite and malachite)

Turquoise crystals of caledonite (to 1 mm; XRD verified) in a vuggy matrix of cerussite and malachite. Formerly in the collection of Karl-Heinz Grosch (Germany), there is unfortunately no early provenance for this specimen. The paragenesis, however, is believed to have been limited to the upper part of the first oxidation zone.
