General Notes

As a very rarely encountered detrital mineral in the feldspathic sandstone bodies, derived from sediments of the Mulden Group (Lombaard et al. 1986).

Minute grains of titanite were identified by analysis (unspecified technique) in a polished ore section offered for auction by Carsten Slotta (Mintreasure) in January 2024 (www.e-rocks.com; accessed January 2024). The paragenesis included colusite, galena, germanocolusite and tennantite.
