General Notes
Abellaite was reported from Tsumeb by Joy Désor in October 2023 and is included in the Mindat listing of Tsumeb mineral species (https://www.mindat.org/locentry-1596806.html; accessed November 2023). It occurs as minute hexagonal platelets (to 40 μm) in association with tsumgallite and thénardite on a sulphide matrix rich in germanite and chalcocite. Abellaite was identified by EDS and Raman spectroscopy; spectra are available at mindat.org/photo-1327210.html (accessed November 2023).
