General Notes
Bowell and Mocke (2018) described:
"A specimen of Cobalt-tsumcorite [sic] from Level 32 stope west 20 (accession no. 8298 [Geological Survey of Namibia]) forms transparent to brownish-red crystals, 0.2 mm in diameter and occurs on Hematite associated with Smithsonite and Philipsbornite".
The method of identification was not disclosed. Tsumcorite group minerals are notoriously difficult to differentiate from one another and a quantitative analysis would ideally be required for verification.
Questionable status is retained for cobalttsumcorite pending reliable confirmation.
Associated Minerals
philipsbornite (?); smithsonite (?)
