Description
Mustard-yellow microcrystals of hidalgoite, intergrown to form a nodular crust over quartz crystals and associated with spherules of radiating malachite crystals.
The hidalgoite on a very similar specimen from the Pinch Collection (MGMH2020.7.741; TSNB592) has been verified by XRD and EMPA. The two specimens are almost certainly from the same occurrence.
The specimen was acquired from Bill Pinch in 2003 but with no record of earlier provenance or location in the mine.
