Description

Crystals of pyrite (to 30 mm), with dominant octahedral faces, in a sulphide matrix in which galena and sphalerite are major constituents.


This specimen was number 1043 in the collection of Wilhelm Klein, production manager at Tsumeb between 1916 and 1939. His handwritten catalogue attributes the specimen to 19 Level, midway between the first and second oxidation zones.
