Description

Striated needles and blades of metallic, gunmetal-grey furutobeite (to 6 mm) bridging a quartz-lined cavity in tennantite-rich sulphide (Exhibit 2). The furutobeite has been verified by electron microprobe analysis (Tony Nikischer, 2005; Bart Canon, 2005).

The specimen was originally supplied in 1986 by Clive Queit, labelled as stibioenargite (Exhibit 3). Mark Feinglos acquired it from Rob Lavinsky in 2005. Its location in the mine is undetermined.
