A shard of sulphide ore richly encrusted with cone-shaped sprays (to circa 8 mm) of pink smithsonite crystals and a prominent aggregate of gemmy, orange-yellow legrandite crystals. A little colourless-white leiteite (?) is also present with crystals resting directly on the sulphide matrix.

The specimen was formerly in the Pinch Collection and Pinch's label (Exhibit 2) confirms that it is from 44 Level in the third oxidation zone. This specimen is, in fact, one of the best-known from the so-called "Zinc Pocket", discovered in August 1991.

leiteite (?); smithsonite
