An arborescent spray of bright native copper crystals associated with sugary white dolomite on a shard of intensely oxidised copper sulphide ore.
This specimen was formerly number 4005 in the collection of Austrian industrialist Hans von Karabacek, much of which was acquired for Harvard University by Charles Palache in 1935. The location in the mine is not recorded, but the vintage of the specimen dates it unequivocally to the first oxidation zone.
