Description

Sharp, well-formed, sub-mm crystals of vitreous green austinite (Exhibit 2), associated with a little conichalcite-duftite on a sliver of massive sulphide. Both the austinite and the conichalcite-duftite are XRD verified.  The colour of the austinite indicates a significant (but undetermined) copper content; compare with specimen TSNB459.

This specimen was formerly in the collection of Karlheinz Grosch, but the location in the mine is not recorded.
