Composite (twinned) crystals of sub-adamantine, sea-green tsumebite (to 1.5 mm) on a crust of white, sub-mm rhombohedral crystals of smithsonite (Exhibit 2). An isolated aggregate of massive (broken) inky-blue azurite is also present.

Tsumebite is an extremely rare mineral at its type locality and this is an exceptional specimen. It was number 4532 in the collection of Hans von Karabacek, much of which was acquired by Harvard University in 1935. Exhibit 3 shows von Karabacek's specimen label.
