Description

Sheaves of translucent yellow-orange warikhanite crystals (to 30 mm) associated with quartz.

The specimen is in the collection of Scott Rudolph. Former owner Bill Pinch purchased the specimen from South African dealer Clive Queit in 2005 "…for more than I had paid for our first house" (Pinch 2005). It is considered the finest (and largest) of about five small specimens recovered from a pocket in Zero Stope on 31 Level, by TCL miner Hannes Schoombie. Exhibit 2 shows Pinch's specimen label.
