General Notes
Possibly, tremolite occurs as a detrital mineral in the feldspathic sandstone bodies, derived from sediments of the Tschudi Formation.
Tremolite was listed as a mineral of the country rock by Pinch and Wilson (1977) and in the more recent lists of Gebhard (1991, 1999) and Von Bezing et al. (2014). Notably, however, Lombaard et al. (1986) question the validity of its occurrence at Tsumeb.
Questionable status is retained for tremolite pending further information.
