General Notes
Skorpionite was identified by Bowell and Mocke (2018) in association with smithsonite, adamite and willemite on a sphalerite-galena-tennantite massive sulphide matrix. The specimen is in the collection of the Geological Society of Namibia (GSN # 8494) and is attributed to the West 40 Stope on 33 Level. Identification appears to have been by semi-quantitative EDS, but no analysis was published.
There is no record of skorpionite from Tsumeb in the peer-reviewed literature and questionable status is retained pending confirmation.
