General Notes
Keller and Bartelke (1982; citing a pers. comm. from Olaf Medenbach) stated that phlogopite occurs as a low temperature secondary mineral in association with wulfenite. Similarly, Gebhard (1999) noted the occurrence of small white aggregates of phlogopite (to 1 mm) on azurite crystals.
Keller (1984) noted that kaolinite and montmorillonite also occur as low temperature secondary minerals in this manner.
Fraipontite has a similar habit and mode of occurrence.
Lombaard et al. (1986) listed phlogopite as a "very rare" mineral at Tsumeb.
