General Notes
Parnauite was first reported from Tsumeb by Keller (1984) on the basis of a personal communication from K. Walenta. Keller commented only that the parnauite has the same habit and mode of occurrence as lavendulan.
Gebhard (1999) mentioned that parnauite "… was only found once" and compares it with lavendulan. Von Bezing et al. (2016) noted the occurrence of parnauite as "… blue coatings and crusts on tennantite-rich ore."
There is no evidence that parnauite has been verified by analysis on material of unequivocal Tsumeb provenance. For this reason, questionable status is retained pending confirmation.
