General Notes
Bowell and Mocke (2018) identified arsenocrandallite as "…waxy resin [sic] in cream to yellow aggregates along with Arsenogoyazite" by means of semi-quantitative EDS but conceded that the chemistry "… is slightly at odds with the type material." Their statement that arsenocrandallite "… contains arsenic in the +3 valency state" is incorrect, and their suggestion that their specimen may have originated from the third oxidation zone on the grounds that other minerals containing As (III) are present at that level of the mine is redundant given that arsenites are well represented in the second oxidation zone.
They also describe arsenocrandallite in association with arsenogoyazite on a specimen from 32 Level and another from 34 Level, both in the second oxidation zone.
Jambor et al. (1996) noted the presence of "… unnamed Ga analogues of segnitite, corkite, kintoreite and arsenocrandallite" as associates on the type specimen of gallobeudantite.
Questionable status is retained for arsenocrandallite at Tsumeb pending further corroboration.
