General Notes
Mansfieldite is the aluminium analogue of scorodite, with which it forms a series. From Tsumeb, pale-yellow mansfieldite has been identified as forming the cores of green, zoned crystals of aluminium-rich scorodite on a specimen in the Pinch Collection (Bill Pinch, pers. comm. to M. Southwood, February 2015). This specimen, almost certainly from the second oxidation zone at Tsumeb, is now in the collections at Harvard University (catalogue number MGMH 2020.7.778).
Questionable status is retained for mansfieldite pending analytical verification.
