Lindackerite was described from a specimen in the collection of the Geological Survey of Namibia (GSN # 7746), by Bowell and Mocke (2018). The specimen is attributed to the West 40 Stope on 33 Level, and the lindackerite is associated with johillerite, conichalcite, "zincian gartrellite", "zincian siderite" and "cuprian adamite". The means of identification of the lindackerite (and other species) is not stated and no analyses were provided.

A specimen of a calcioandyrobertsite-like mineral (originally identified as yvonite) in the Feinglos Collection shows colourless, vitreous crystals of lindackerite on the ‘calcioandyrobertsite’ and with very pale green geminite associated (both lindackerite and geminite were confirmed by Tony Kampf at the Los Angeles County Museum (Mark Feinglos pers. comm. to M. Southwood October 2019). The specimen is now in the collection at Harvard University (MGMH 2022.4.6333)
